Covid-19
Steps to protect both physiotherapist and patient
Infection Control
A number of steps have been taken to minimise risk in light of the current Covod-19 Pandemic. The clinic will be decontaminated between appointments with a strict infection control protocol implemented to keep everybody as safe as possible. In line with current guidance we are operating a virtual triage first policy. This will involve your physiotherapist speaking to you via telephone to ascertain the nature of the problem and whether it is something that requires face to face treatment. Copies of all policies and protocols are available on request. If you have any questions please contact us.
Prior To Your Appointment
If it is deemed that you require a face to face appointment you will be asked to complete a questionnaire to confirm that you are not a vulnerable patient and that treatment is necessary. We will also inform you of the exact processes that will take place during your appointment.
Prior to entering the building we will use an infrared thermometer to confirm that you are not suffering from a fever.
During Your Appointment
Upon entering the building you will be asked to wash your hands, and given a bag/box to place your belonging inside. Your physiotherapist will be wearing full PPE during your appointment, it is advisable but not essential for patients to wear a face mask and gloves.
Following Your Appointment
After your appointment your physiotherapist will ask you to clean your hands again, collect your belongings and if possible to pay via card or bank transfer (although cash can be accepted). Your next appointment will be booked and your physiotherapist will escort you out. There will be a minimum 15 minutes between appointments to allow time to clean the clinical area. If you develop any symptoms within 14 days of your appointment we ask that you inform your physiotherapist.
